What a wonderful story and what a great way to teach a young mind about the wonders of faith and the tender love of Christ. Happy Valentine's Day to your family Arris...I am so glad that your son found his lost treasure!

Praise the Lord for your heart. It's so important that we all are jolted into action, despite obstacles or fears, knowing that God will equip us and guide us along the way as we follow His call.

Thanks and be blessed.
I am thinking of our youth in Africa and how we can evangelize using internet to bring the majority of them back to the church.

There is a cyber church growing in Africa and unless we reach the young people who find "boredom" in our churches we will reap a lot of misery.

You jolt me into action.

Thanks

Great question, Arris!

Let’s look at the job offer aspect of this question. First thing I want your readers to know is that salary is always negotiable, especially if they are the best candidate for the job.

I’ve learned that many Christians don’t even realize this. They simply settle for the starting salary when an entire salary range exists and is accessible. I strongly suggest your readers do some research to determine the salary structure of the position. Some things the research should take into consideration are: the geographic area, required skills and qualifications, and the size of the company. This ensures you are in the best place possible to negotiate salary. How fulfilled can you really be if you start off with a salary you believe won’t even cover the cost to live in your geographic area?

I’ve learned most people are so excited the moment the offer is extended, they accept on the fly without really listening to what is being offered and asking God and themselves some key questions before accepting or rejecting the offer. For example, you can ask, “Is the salary competitive with what the market demands?” or “Can I stand behind the services of the organization?” How about asking, “How does what the company do fit or not fit in with my gifts, talents, and calling?”

I know you've heard this expression a bazillion times . . . “do what you love”. This is so true. It does not matter how much the job pays, how close it is to home, and how great your manager and co-workers are. If you don't love what you do, you'll run out of steam, and regret your decision to work for this company.

So, a fulfilling job offer provides an opportunity to grow financially, spiritually, educationally, as well as professionally. It will give you a synergistic balance.

Thanks for posing this question Arris and allowing me to visit the Spirited Ink Blog.

Karen, what's something that you've learned that people may often overlook or take for granted (whether about themselves or the job) in their search for or acceptance of a job offer that might make a big difference in their fulfillment?
